Good evening parents,

Wheels After Meals
This is just a quick reminder that the wheels after meals roller blading/skate boarding and scooter-ing session for the Year One and Two children will take place tomorrow at lunch time. The children should put any equipment such as knee pads, helmets and scooters etc. behind Mr Lee's office in the morning. Please be sure to bring in your permission slip otherwise your child will not be able to participate in this wonderful opportunity.

Homework
Homework has been glued into your child's homework if they brought their book in previous Friday and the two week cycle will be due on the last day of Term. We will continue with this system next term.  If you would like to bring it in earlier if you are taking an early holiday break, please feel free to do so.

We will continue to be focusing on the 'er' sound in spelling and phonics and looking at the common graphemes we use in English to spell these sounds - er, ir and ur (and this week w…

Welcome to Week 9!

Good afternoon parents,

I hope you had a lovely weekend in the sunshine and have made the most of the sunny weather before the downfall of rain begins!

Just a few messages for this week...

Homework
Homework has been glued into your child's homework if they brought their book in and will be due on the last day of Term (Friday 3rd July). If you would like to bring it in earlier, please feel free to do so. We understand that the children are getting tired towards the end of the term but we feel that a good routine needs to be maintained to benefit your child's learning journey. We would really appreciate if you could do the top three grey boxes which includes:
Reading 10-15 aloud each nightSpelling: Children using their sound out fist to identify how many sounds are in each word. We are learning the ir/ur/er sound over the next two weeks. Fluency grid: Read the words as fast as they can and tick each word they get correct and dot the words they need more practice with.

Good afternoon parents,

What a wonderful week we have had with almost all the beautiful children back in class! It has been great to get back to some sort of normality for our class routines and the children have loved seeing their friends and playing in the sunshine last week. Heres hoping there is some sunshine this week.

A few messages for this week:

Pick up and drop off
This has been working really well and the children have been coming in settled, ready to learn with the greater independence in the class during gathering time. Thank you for your patience in the pick up lanes, we are trying to get through the line as quick as we can and it has been great to see some of your friendly faces in the cars! As there are still restrictions with parents coming into school grounds, we have the lovely Mrs. Hughes waiting in the top car park waiting to greet children in the morning so please feel free to drive on through the pick up lane (so you don’t even have to get out of your car). Hopefu…

Week 4 Information

Good evening parents,

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you for the support we have received over the past three weeks. It has been a strange and unusual time for everyone and I am so blessed to have such supportive and beautiful parents in our community to help deliver and sustain a home learning program.

We are lucky enough to have everyone back in our class this week and I am certainly looking forward to the routines going back to normal. This week I will be taking lots of photos of our days as I'm sure you will be interested to see what your child is learning in class as we are only using certain aspects of Seesaw. Please have a look through your child's journal when you have a chance as they have been absolute super stars! 🌟 😊

The children's independence since beginning the term has also been such a great thing to see blossom. Gathering time has been quiet, calm and really allows the children to settle into their learning for the day.
